This morning I created my blog. I've been inspired by bloggers lately. In the early mornings before the sun comes up, I regularly check my list of favorite blogs. I sip coffee and become inspired by all the artists and creatives who are out there, living their lives and posting about their struggles, what inspires them, and their successes.
For some time now, I have considered doing my own blog. I resisted it for various reasons: it's too narcissistic, who would want to read about me? I have nothing to say, none of it matters, there are already too many successful bloggers out there, I can't become one of them, I want to be more private, I don't have a theme or purpose. These are the negative voices which stop me (and maybe you too) from doing anything new or different. These voices keep me stuck. Great reasons to do a blog are: expressing myself creatively, join in the fun other bloggers are having, give a venue to my thoughts, artwork, and inspiration, a way to journal online, meet new people and create opportunities for myself.
I chose "good life" because that is what inspires me. People creating the life they want to live, a good life. It is different for everyone. I get so inspired by bloggers who write about crafting their lives. Life is an art form. How you live your life, what you choose to express and develop in your life, is how I define "good life." In this blog, I choose to focus on what is good about my life and how it evolves as I make choices about how to live. I am eager to put up images, links to favorite blogs, learning how to write better, learning how to put up a banner, and much more!
So welcome to yogajill's good life, namaste!
